Dear Friend DJT,

Don’t you wish we could have a do over & go back a few years? On this day in 2018 you were speaking to farmers in TN and attending a Championship college football game. In 2019 you were busy declaring a national emergency so you could get $$ to build your wall & last year you were meeting with the Prime Minister of Greece. You were at large and in charge, having fun, meeting new people. What a difference a year makes?

I was grateful to see in the press release that KM shared yesterday that “those who violently besieged our Capitol are the opposite of everything this administration stands for.” I wonder if they knew that they could get charged with sedition because they tried “to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States.” That comes with a 20-year jail sentence & fines. I’m afraid that some will say that they were doing what you told them to. It’s too bad you weren’t more specific about what they should & shouldn’t do.

I try to imagine what you are doing right now in this surreal moment. According to your schedule you are having “many calls & many meetings.” I wonder who you are speaking with & what you might be talking about.

Perhaps you are commiserating with Sen. Josh Hawley (JDH), who is sharing the blame with you for the assault on the Capitol. If you talk with him, you might strategize about how to apologize to esteemed elders, like former Sen John Danforth, who regret that they supported you all. It’s too bad that a brilliant young star, like JDH, made a major miscalculation of the mood of the nation. I’m sure he regrets raising his fist to your fans on his way into the Capitol on Wed.

I’m sure it’s hard for you right now. I hope your family is by your side helping you make sense of this situation. LOG might have some helpful advice, too, if you can forgive him for telling the truth to Congress on Wed.

You can call me if you want. I am a good listener & I promise to tell you the truth in a loving manner.

BYBS,
