Friend, DJT,

It’s hard to know what to say these days. Trying to stay positive & hopeful, yet the uncertainty we are facing is rather daunting. I’ll be participating in a dissertation proposal review this afternoon. The student has to have 2 research plans because she doesn’t know if she will be allowed to observe in a classroom this year. I’m trying to plan a class for student teachers in the fall & I don’t know if they will be student teaching in classrooms or if they will be on-line. These uncertainties are not gut wrenching, but when they pile up it can be tiring.

Speaking of uncertainties, I wonder how many folk will show up for your “rally” today at the Dream City Church. I wonder how many of them will be college students. I wonder if they will wear their masks like they are supposed to. I wonder how many of them will catch CV. I doubt that the new air filtration system that the church put in will stop particles from spreading when people start yelling.

One thing I know for sure is that a Yuma County Indivisible will be at the County Fairgrounds today having an “Un-Welcome Trump to Yuma Protest.” They are not happy about the Wall or about your immigration policies. Perhaps you could help us understand your latest Executive Order restricting work visas. Last time I looked, we didn’t have enough computer programmers. Has that changed all of a sudden? Did I miss something?

I hope you have safe travels to AZ today. Please wear your mask.

            HYITL,
