My dear Friend, DJT,

3 weeks until Nov 4. Can you believe it? I’ve got my mail-in ballot, but haven’t filled it out yet. We have lots of propositions that I need to learn about before I can do so. One of them has to do with rent control & another relates to dialysis. If I can’t comprehend the issue in 5 minutes, I just vote NO & trust that my legislators can work it out. We’ve got 13 props on the state ballot and 2 measures on land use in the City of Davis, so that’s 75 minutes of studying just to cast an informed ballot. Good thing I have 21 days to figure it all out.

Did you see the lines for early voting in Atlanta? Isn’t it great that people in our country are willing to wait 8 hours just to cast their ballots? Folks are motivated this year & however the election might work out, seeing that level of civic engagement is exciting!

Speaking of excitement, it looks like you had lots of it in Sandford yesterday. Your comment about feeling powerful is the soundbite of the day. I suspect that your new found energy is due to the steroids you are taking. Be careful, they may be giving you a false sense of vigor. Apparently, you are quite vulnerable to catching the flu right now since the steroid is depressing your immune system. As you head off to PA today, you might want to wear your mask, distance yourself & take a nap.

Please call your buddy, LOG & tell him that the hearings are supposed to be an opportunity for Amy Barrett to tell the American people about her legal philosophy. It’s not the time for him to tell us about his thoughts on the ACA. He must be worried about Jamie Harrison’s cash advantage in the SC Senate race. Apparently, the Dems have a huge cash advantage, everywhere this year. It’ll be interesting to see if $$ can win an election.

            Safe travels,

            HYITL,
