My dear friend and president, DJT,

            Happy Labor Day! I appreciate the sentiment that you shared in your 2019 Labor Day Proclamation that we all honor the contributions and resilience of working Americans. I hope that all the folks that have gotten jobs in recent years enjoy their jobs. I hope they are treated with respect by their employers and their customers. I hope they get positive feedback and words of encouragement.

            I hope that Dorian stays out at sea and that the storm surges are kept to a minimum.

            I hope that the people of Odessa and Midland, TX can find some comfort as they process the grief of having their tranquility shattered by an automatic weapon. I hope you will have the courage to keep those weapons out of the hands of civilians.
