I am happy that we are having some wonderful cool weather so I can have an extended gardening session today. The Ranch Fire is now 67% contained and we're still experiencing the smoke, and fire danger remains high. So summer is not over yet.
How was your visit to Columbus yesterday? The Dispatch noted that you avoided talking about the headlines at the Republican Party Fundraising dinner. Wise move. I was disappointed that you described Democrats as "nasty" and called them "left-wing haters." I'm afraid that in doing so you used the exact same rhetoric that you accuse them of using. I will continue to encourage you to try to be polite. It'll help your blood pressure.
I will also remind you that I lean left and I am NOT a hater! Reading these letters should convince you of that.
I loved seeing the picture of you coloring with the kids at Nationwide Hospital. Visiting with those cute kids must have lifted your spirits. Did you get a chance to visit the Matsuricon Anime Convention that was also happening in the Columbus Convention Center last night? Did you catch the wrestling match by the folk from Slam Diego, Ohio? Did you attend the cosplayer masquerade? I don't even know what a cosplayer is, but it sounds interesting. Perhaps we should both spend some time watching Anime on Netflix so we can interact with the kids of today who were at the Matsuricon. They ARE voters, you know.
It looks like it'll be great golfing weather in NJ today.
