My Dear Friend and President, DJT,

I’m afraid that you made another bad choice by forwarding @Surfermom77’s tweet with the name of the whistle-blower. I believe that in doing so you went against the spirit of the “Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act of 1998.” Since you are all about getting rid of corruption, draining the swamp and all of that good stuff, I suggest you do all you can in support of all whistleblowers so they can continue to feel empowered to have the courage to stand up to their bosses. Besides, as the Guardian writes, “if something happens to the whistleblower, there would be some civil liability for causing that to happen.” You don’t want a big lawsuit on your hands, do you?

Speaking of folks who have the courage to stand up, you’ve got to admire Sen. Lisa Murkowski! Her supporters are even more fervent than yours. You may recall she won her seat in 2010 when the people of Alaska took their pencils to the polls and wrote in her name. I hope she persuades other Senators to keep an open mind about the impeachment case.

Please send condolences to Imus’ family. You, two, had a lot in common. Brash, irreverent, controversial, unapologetic and fascinated by politics. A challenge for folks like me, but beloved by family. I’m sure his would appreciate some kindness.

            Best,
