My dear Friend and President, DJT,

Nice try! I appreciate that you are looking for a compromise and shared your idea in your announcement yesterday. You will need to get more creative. Offering 3 more years of DACA status to the 700,000 who have applied to the program is not enough, but it's a start.

According to the NYT, "The tensions and anger over the policy have been quietly playing out in the West Wing" as Jared and Stephen Miller each try to persuade you.  I have told you many times before, most recently on Nov 14, that Stephen Miller has issues. He needs help making friends. In the meantime, he wants everyone to share in his anger and hate. You don't have to feed his discontent. Instead, you might get him some therapy. In the meantime, invite some DACA kids to the WH so you aren't so afraid of them.

I'm sorry that I missed the Women's March this year. I stayed home and kept my husband company. Instead I read some Carol Gilligan, one of the early feminist academics. Now-a-days she's worried about "The Crisis of Connection" where everyone thinks they have to succeed without help. The crisis afflicts males more than females and I'm pretty sure that's part of Stephen's problem where his "needs, wants and desires take precedence over the collective." I encourage you to take a look at her book so you can help Stephen and to help you get more creative about the shutdown crisis.

Best,
