It’s windy here today & things are flying around the house. Well, not exactly flying, but stuff in the kitchen has blown off the counter alarming the dog. …Some people think that the positively-charged electrons stirred up by the wind cause irritability and compulsive behavior. Whatever it is, I look forward to less turbulence.
It’s Sat. Are you going to watch the Kentucky Derby (KD) today? I usually do, thanks to my neighbor, who is fascinated by it….I am also inclined to eschew the race due to the 147-year history of systemic racism of Churchill Downs. Louisville, itself, needs to heal the wounds from Breonna Taylor’s death at the hands of the police….

I put plant in quotation marks because moving one shovelful of dirt is only a small part of the process, & may not suffice for the “happy usefulness” that Sterling Morton, founder of Arbor Day envisioned….
