It’s windy here today & things are flying around the house. Well, not exactly flying, but stuff in the kitchen has blown off the counter alarming the dog. …Some people think that the positively-charged electrons stirred up by the wind cause irritability and compulsive behavior. Whatever it is, I look forward to less turbulence.

I usually do, thanks to my neighbor, who is fascinated by it….I am also inclined to eschew the race due to the 147-year history of systemic racism of Churchill Downs. Louisville, itself, needs to heal the wounds from Breonna Taylor’s death at the hands of the police….

I put plant in quotation marks because moving one shovelful of dirt is only a small part of the process, & may not suffice for the “happy usefulness” that Sterling Morton, founder of Arbor Day envisioned….
…Today’s Sac Bee had an interesting story about Rep of the 6th District of CA, Doris Matsui. You’ll recall that she visited you at the WH last week to talk about the needs of the AAPI community. Did she mention that she was born in an internment camp & feels “duty bound to stop the spread of xenophobic & racist ideas?”…
