My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

How are things going with XJ? Did he thank you for rolling out the red carpet to him & having a military flyover by two B-1 bombers? Everyone is saying how extraordinary it is for a POTUS to meet a visiting dignitary at the airport. The last time it happened was when BHO met Pope Francis in 2015. Eisenhower met Nikita Khrushchev at the plane in 1959, so meeting a foreign communist leader when he lands is not unprecedented, but usually the POTUS lets his guests come to him at the WH. 

Antrhopic’s AI concludes, “Whether it's a savvy way to build goodwill or an excessive concession to a rival is a matter of debate.” Do you think XJ will be flattered or might he think you are trying to ingratiate yourself & be wary of whatever deals you might try to make with him?

While you confer with XJ about AI & Iran, I hope you find time to talk about Prof. Min Zin &  Dr. Youlin Chen, both of whom are being wrongfully detained in China. Their wives are eager to see them again. For more information about their plight, please ask Assistant Secretary of State Dylan Johnson to fill you in. He told CBS, "We want no American left behind & we are working to make that a reality.”

The dinner that Malania has planned for XJ & first lady Peng Liyuan sounds marvelous! I am especially intrigued by the first course of yellow squash velouté, featuring wild mushrooms, fresh herbs, crispy pancetta & drizzled scallion oil. Please ask Chef Tommy Kurpradit to share the recipe. 

Speaking of chefs, Anthrorpic’s AI tells me that it can’t figure out if the WH has an Executive Chef. It notes that Cristeta Comerford retired in 2024 & Melania has not hired a replacement. What’s up with that?
