My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

How did you get to be so adept at propaganda? Was someone in your household a word smith? Did you read poetry? Did Norman Vincent Peale teach you how to evoke emotions to influence people’s perceptions of reality?

As your friend, I have to warn you not to believe everything you tell yourself. 

Today’s example of your propaganda campaign may not go over as well as you’d like. While Coalie may be cute, most of us know coal is not the best. most beautiful answer to our energy needs. Even some of the people who live in coal country know this. Annie Persons, writing in Fortune, points out that “humans living with the effects of burning coal have disliked it for as long as they have burned it” & previous efforts to “present an innocent image" have not succeeded in convincing the public. 

Speaking of attempts at propaganda, your narrative about EFO did not succeed with your GOPers, Tom Barrett (MI-7), Warren Davidson (OH-8) Thomas Massie (KY-4) & Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1). I guess they decided that their constituents have not been persuaded about the threats posed by Iran & would prefer cheaper gas than prolonged assaults on Tehran.

Speaking of propaganda, don’t be fooled by MAH’s latest. The Irrawaddy reports, he appointed a female “mouthpiece” as a bid for legitimacy. They quote analysts as saying, “her appointment is cosmetic & designed to deflect international attention from the regime’s underlying military reality.” 

I wonder if I should believe everything I tell myself. What do you think?
