My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

On this Maundy Thursday, I bring you greetings of peace. As you will recall this is the day when Jesus celebrated Passover with his disciples & told them he would be leaving them soon. He used it as a moment to encourage them to love each other as he had loved them & he demonstrated his devotion to them by washing their feet.  

Have you ever thought about washing someone’s feet?

I imagine it to be a profound experience to humble oneself in that manner. It might do us both a world of good to give it a try. It certainly would do the world some good to see you expressing love in that way. 

Seeing you wash someone’s feet might change the minds of those who were enraged when they interpreted Paula White’s remarks at yesterday’s lunch as equating your legal troubles with Christ’s crucifixion. Today’s Kenyan Times reported that “within hours, it (a video clip) racked up hundreds of thousands of views & drew sharp reactions from critics who called the comparison inappropriate & offensive.”

I’m sure if you washed someone’s feet,  you would shock Emmanuel Macron, who, right now, is wishing you would not talk so much. The G quotes him as saying, ‘if you want to be serious, you don’t go around saying the opposite of what you said the day before.” 

Please follow his advice. Your statement from last night’s address,  “The whole world is watching & can’t believe the power, strength & brilliance,” made me cringe. 

If you can’t bring yourself to wash someone’s feet, you might instead refer to Matthew 5:43 where Christ says,  “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, & pray for them which despitefully use you, & persecute you.” You can tell the world that you are stopping EFO because you have had an epiphany that it’s better to love the people of Iran than to try to eradicate them.

If you set that example, MAH might get inspired & stop his violent efforts to rule Burma. VVP might get inspired & stop his violent efforts to take over Ukraine. Bibi might get inspired & stop his violent efforts to take over Gaza, Lebanon & Iran. 

You could do so much good in the world if you could have a change of heart.
