My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
Are you ready for your day? Your public calendar shows you having some “Executive Time” & then participating in two “policy meetings.” I wonder what those might be about. I also see you are going to see “Chicago” at the National Center for the Performing Arts.
Do you happen to know who chose to feature that play? I ask because according to AI, “the moral message of Chicago is that truth does not matter in a society driven by sensationalism, where glamour and performance often override justice and innocence.” A kid writing a review of the play in Boston College’s student newspaper observed, “Chicago reveals our society’s obsession with violence and aggression… (& reveals how) the media continues to make celebrities of criminals, while we continue to devour controversy.” Are you sure you want to draw attention to this message by attending the performance?
Did you know that over $173,000 has been wagered on what you & Melania might say about the play with the most $$ riding on whether the word, “Chicago” will be uttered in your remarks.
I’d love to hear you acknowledging the toll that EFO is taking on Americans, especially the families of military personnel. Even better would be to hear you express sympathy regarding the deaths of people like, Technical Sgt. Ashley Pruitt. You could quote her high school teacher who talked about how she gave the proceeds of an award she won to homeless vets. You could encourage people to go to her GoFundMe site to donate $$ to support her 3-year old daughter. We need to know that you are feeling the pain that EFO is exacting.
Speaking of the effects of EFO, did you know that the high fuel prices are affecting refugees’ access to water? Places like the Kayah State in Burma are dry at this time of year so IDPs depend on tanks of water trucked into their refugee camps. According to the Irrawaddy transporting the water has become prohibitively expensive making a humanitarian crisis imminent.
Stop EFO now! WINTA!
Writing those words gave me the insight that you shouldn’t go to that play tonight. The nation doesn’t need to see you indulging in idle entertainment at this moment when your decisions have put so many people in peril. Going to church would be a better choice, especially given that it is Holy Week.
BYBS,
