My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
I am off to Wisconsin. They are starting to board the plane. Travel is always stimulating for me. You never know what hurdle might pop up. You’ve got to keep your act together as you try to time every move, so you don’t have to rush too much or wait too long. You have to pay attention to the announcements but not waste too much time listening to information that does not pertain to you.
The whole thing requires multi-tasking and we both know how that diminishes with age. The remedy is to slow down, pause as needed to monitor the situation and breath. Being in a rush leads to mishaps.
I’m afraid you were in such a rush to remedy the bad jobs report that you created a mishap for yourself. I have not seen any articles suggesting that firing Erika McEntarfer (EM) was a good idea. While the revisions may have been the largest since 1979, that doesn’t mean they are rigged. It’s probably too late to reinstate EM, but, in the future, I encourage you to slow down & take a breath before terminating an employee. In this case, you not only riled many historians who don’t like the way you are casting doubt on federal data, you also squandered an asset by not realizing that bad job numbers could get you the interest rate cut you’ve been asking for.
Slowing down would also have prevented you from sending a tariff letter to MAH. That was a mishap in so many ways! He’s doing all kinds of terrible things.
I gotta go. I may not write to you for a while. Don’t do anything rash while I’m on vacay.
BYBS,
