My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

I am holding us in the Light - you, me, the Ayatollah (AAK), Bibi, the people of Iran, the citizens of Israel, all Americans & anyone who might be affected by your decision to bomb Fordow, Natanz, & Esfahan.

“Peace through strength” is the rationale that you have shared. That mantra is being echoed by many in Congress. It makes little sense to me & I am doubtful that the mid-East will see peace anytime soon.

As I try to understand your action, I conclude that you couldn’t stand the agitation of trying to decide what to do. Your inner dialogue between the peacemaker, you aspire to be, & the brute force guy, you’ve learned to be, were at odds & you couldn’t stand the dissonance, so you chose action over inaction, expedience over stamina, violence over diplomacy.

You know that AAK is not going to let this go. Pundits speculate he could respond with attacks on the 40,000 Americans in the vicinity, strikes on our fleet in the Persian Gulf and/or sending proxies to assault our 15 bases within 500 miles of the border. His forces may be depleted, but this aggression is too big to overlook.

I am at a loss for suggestions on how to remedy this situation. As I noted in my Feb 17 letter, I am concerned about your impulse control & hope you are working on that.

Was Susie Wiles at the WH yesterday when you were making the decision, or was she too busy trying to wrangle the Senators to vote for your spending bill? I like to think that she might have helped you stick to your plan to decide about the bombing in two weeks.

As you can see, my mind is spinning, consumed by regret for this action & paralysis in figuring out a response. So, I will stop writing & do some meditating.

For now, I ask you to keep the people of Burma on your radar & remind you that WINTA!!!

BYBS,
