My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT, 

Did you know that Pravda says you are the only leader who cares about human rights?  Isn’t that a strange claim to make? When I think of leaders who care about human rights José Manuel Ramos-Horta of East Timor & Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE come to mind as humanitarian leaders who extend grace to all.  

Your comments about immigrants at your speech yesterday indicate you have room for growth in that department.You could start by making a proclamation regarding Human Rights to show respect for the members of the UN who have already done so. 

While it may be too late for a grand gesture, you could still call some of your fellow leaders to encourage them to do more to protect the rights of their citizens. Here are a few suggestions of who to call & what to talk about: 

Modi about his persecution of Kashmiris 

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about his judicial harassment of human rights lawyers Imaan Zainab Mazari & Hadi Ali Chattha 

President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea for systematically suppressing dissent, with credible reports of unlawful or arbitrary killings, including extrajudicial executions, by security forces 

MAL about his junta’s various violent actions over the last 4 years to maintain their tenuous control on power 

Perhaps the pastors you are meeting with this evening can help you think about some persuasive language to use with these misguided leaders who are oppressing their people.
