My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            What is on the top of your mind today? The UAW strike? The G77 meeting in Cuba? Our climate crisis? The devastation in Morocco & Libya? The situation in Burma, Ukraine, Sudan…? Hunter? Climate Change? Immigration? Women’s reproductive rights? China? This list just scratches the surface of things you have to keep track of. I don’t know how you do it.

I do know that you’ve been doing it a long time, so whatever cognitive decline you may be experiencing, your on-going practice of navigating such a complex political domain far outweighs it. I am holding you in the Light today.

            Perhaps you manage to address these challenges by staying positive. Perhaps you read CSM & articles such as today’s “Racial Unity in America’s Pews” about how churches are becoming more diverse. Perhaps you found A People’s Prosperity in Yes Magazine where Anoa Changa & Ericka Taylor write about how we need “alternatives to  Capitalism’s endless economic growth model which prioritizes the individual over community & creates extreme inequality.”

            I’m sure that going to mass helps you maintain your energy & enthusiasm. If you have other strategies for staying positive, please do share!
