My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

Congratulations on the great video your team put together to announce your campaign. Hopefully, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, inherited her grandfather’s knack for organization & rallying disparate groups to speak up & fight for their rights.

Your campaign slogan, “Let’s finish the job” reminds me of a little ditty that I made up in 1995 when Alec, now husband, was building a side table with cherry wood which took forever to complete. The song went like this, “Sander, sanding a knob, will he ever finish the job…” Of course, he did & now that lovely table sits by our front door & is one of the few pieces of furniture, we will be moving to our new condo in 2024.

Just remember, finishing can be tedious so I hope we all have plenty of patience & perseverance to accomplish your political goals.

That’s exactly what former U.N Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon said after his visit to Burma when he noted, “with patient determination, I believe a way forward can be found out of the current crisis. The military must take the first steps.”

When you speak with Yoon Suk Yeol (YSY) today, after you talk about Japan, North Korea & China, please also discuss the situation in Burma. Keep in mind, WINTA, & don’t pressure YSY to buy or borrow any weapons. Remember he has to strike “a balance between the US & China, because China is South Korea's top economic partner. I don’t have to remind you that we have to strike that balance, too, given that U.S. agricultural exports to China in fiscal year 2022 were $36.4 billion & surpassed the previous year’s record with China as the largest export market for the 2nd consecutive year. If you want the farmers voting for you in 2024, best not to trash talk China too much.

BYBS,
