My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Happy Saturday! It looks like you will have a beautiful end of summer day in DE, as will I, here in CA. I don’t have anything special planned. How about you?

            I’m afraid that you might have jumped the gun in announcing the college debt forgiveness program. It’s looking like the Obama care debacle all over again. Who can forget the mess that ensued when ACA was first announced & the website broke down. As I am sure you’ve heard borrowers who want to take advantage of your new program are trying to get info & scammers are taking advantage of them by stealing their bank info. I’m sure it will all be straightened out, but right now it’s a bit of a mess.

            I was surprised to see that Janet Yellen is worried that this debt relief might fuel inflation. I find that hard to believe, but I don’t have her insight.  

            I encourage you to get your ducks in a row before making your next big announcement.

            I am disappointed that you did not acknowledge the 5th anniversary of the junta’s assault on the Rohingya people. A lost generation of children are languishing in refugee camps without education, proper nutrition, or health care. Bangladesh & Indian authorities threaten to send them back to Burma. Please take a minute to express your concern & consider sending them some assistance or better yet, welcoming them into the US.
