My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            It’s been 78 years since the “Pivot Point of the 20th Century, when the question of who would rule the world was decided. If the brave boys of the USA were unsuccessful in their efforts to storm the beaches of Normandy the war would have become a duel between Stalin & Hitler.

At least that’s how my Uncle Chup talked about D-Day. Perhaps you read his book on the subject. Informed by 1380 personal accounts of the day from soldiers and 8 trips to Omaha Beach, his best seller commemorated the 50th anniversary of D-Day. Brilliant marketing plan, don’t you think?

            I am grateful that you are in charge as we face what may be the Pivot Point of the 21st Century. Like Eisenhower, you are a leader we can trust. Far superior to our previous POTUS & Boris Johnson (ABDJ), both of whom are prone to fabrication.

If you have 7 minutes, you should watch Jonathan Pie’s(JP) riff on ABDJ & the predicament he’s facing due to his CV partying. JP points out that too many of our politicians were born rich, learned to avoid taxes & tend to lie. Their sense of entitlement is quite the opposite of Ike’s sensibilities from having been born to a Mennonite & living on a modest farm in KS & your youth in Scranton.

            VVP may have launched our 21st pivot point by exhausting Russia’s resources on a losing enterprise. As he depletes his weapon stockpile, folks, like Min Aung Hlaing, can’t rely on an endless supply of rifles, missiles, etc. So, their efforts to strong arm their way to power will ultimately fail & democracy will once again prevail. Please prioritize food & medicine over weapons as you support the people of Ukraine & Burma.

            Ike hated war & resisted recommendations to order a 1st strike. I believe you do, too. Just keep reminding yourself WINTA & give me a call before you start one.
