My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! I am so sorry that your day of events with His Excellency Micheál Martin (MM), Taoiseach of Ireland, will have to be virtual. I hope that he did not spread CV to Nancy Pelosi at the Gala last night. Every time I think we’re done with this virus, it crops up again. First, Doug Imhoff tests positive, then MM. I hope you don’t get it! You can bet that I’ll be all masked up on my travels to KC tomorrow.

            I hope your new “Czar” of CV , Dr. Ashish K. Jha can help us all stay healthy. His experience with Ebola bodes well.

            Have you picked your winners in the Big Dance? The games begin this morning. I have the Badgers going all the way because I can’t stand to cheer against my alma mater.

It’s anybody’s tournament this year. You will recall that on Feb 26, 7 of the top 10 teams lost their games. It’s tempting to pick teams based on their mascots. This year we have the Zips, Catamounts, Peacocks & Jack Rabbits. Those are all underdogs, but it will be fun to see their mascots running around on the court. The South Dakota State Jack Rabbits have won 21 games in a row w/excellent 3-point shooting so I picked them as one of my 1st round upsets.

            On a more somber note, as you call out VVP for war crimes, please also mention the Tatmadaw. Last night I watched a documentary about the young Burmese doctors who are providing medical aid to folks in the jungle while the junta bombs clinics & hospitals. They are brave souls, led to serve despite the danger involved. While you condemn the autocrats, please also sing the praises of all the courageous citizens who dare to defy them.
