My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

How do you feel about the African Summit? Do you think that the leaders are more inclined to trust the US? Will they be willing to share their vast resources with us or has China cornered the market?

I found the family photo & noticed a very tall man standing at the back. By sleuthing on Google, I found it was Mayiik Ayii Deng, representing South Sudan. Did he ask for our help implementing the Revitalized Peace Agreement that’s supposed to pave the way for elections in his. new country? According to the UN, South Sudan is behind, especially regarding the quotas for women in parliament.

Perhaps they could use some help from the only woman among the leaders in the family photo, Samia Suluhu Hassan (SSH) of Tanzania. According to Time, “her leadership has been a tonic… A door has opened for dialogue between political rivals, steps have been taken to rebuild trust in the democratic system, efforts have been made to increase press freedom, & women & girls have a new role model.”

Female leadership could be essential in Burma, too. As you may have seen Kachin Independence Army General Gun Maw is talking trash about the junta, claiming, “There is no possibility for a further increase in [junta] strength and its existing forces are also already crippled …There is almost no hope for them to last long.”

As long as macho toxicity rules the day, there will be no peace in Burma. They need someone like SSH to bring about reconciliation. As our Friend George Fox proclaims, you can’t kill the Devil with a gun or a sword. WINTA!!!

Have fun in DE this weekend.

            BYBS,
