JRB,

Congrats on the economic news! Jennifer Rubin opines that you’ve “had significant success in fulfilling (your) economic vision with huge investment in infrastructure and high-tech manufacturing while raising taxes on big corporations.”

Are you exhausted? Shouldn’t you be out on the campaign trail right now in AZ, GA, NV, OH, PA, & WI where Senate races are “cliffhangers"?

The NYT says that the races could hinge on the governors’ elections in those states. They cite as an example, your guy, Fetterman in PA who is conflating his opponent & the GOP gov candidate calling them MOZtriano. Clever!

The article suggests, “Republicans and Democrats alike are trying to game out the crosscurrents, working to position their candidates either to ride the wave of a favored gubernatorial candidate or to distance themselves to avoid being pulled under by the drag of a fellow party member.” Are you a drag? I hope not.

Since you are not in the news today, I am reading about alternative energy projects. In a story about the construction of the largest solar farm in the world, the G notes that “over the past year, solar projects in OH, KY & NV have been delayed or sunk by irked local people. Ordinances restricting solar, wind and other renewable energy facilities have been passed in 31 states.” The irked person in Pulaski, IN has turned the issue into her raison d'être which has torn the community apart. Lots of folks seem to be irrational about the whole thing. Not sure what you can do about that.

My ask related to Burma is prompted by V. Türk, UN Human Rights High Commissioner, who tweeted,

“It is essential that in light of the prevailing situation in #Myanmar, now more than ever, States do not return people to suffering & danger, and provide them with a secure legal status while their country remains in crisis.” Please emphasize this with the ASEAN countries who host so many of the Burmese refugees.

BYBS,
