My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            It’s a new month. A good time to take stock. Perhaps that’s what you will be doing today, in addition to your visit with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky (VOZ).

Are you ready for some laughs? He may tell a few jokes, given his career as a comedian. It’ll be interesting to see if the humor is lost in translation.

            The NYT speculates that he might have the jitters after our pullout from Afghanistan. I suspect you will be talking about financial aid. I see that we gave them $125 million to buy a couple of Mark VI patrol boats from SAFE Boats International & we appropriated another $150 million if they enact some military reforms. I’m afraid these transactions confirm the FCNL assertion that the federal government is addicted to war. We give them $$ to buy Made-in-the-USA military equipment. Why don’t we just hand the $$ to SAFE boats so that the tax payers can see we are subsidizing them? I can think of better ways to spend $275 million in the Ukraine. They’ve got a problem with domestic violence. I’d prefer you spend my tax $$ addressing that issue. Please give that some consideration.

            I also request that you confer with Danny Fenster’s family. He is the editor of the Frontier Myanmar who has been detained in the Insein Prison for 100 days. When he spoke with his brother on Aug 1, DF was complaining of CV symptoms, so they are worried. His family knows too much about man’s inhumanity to man, having survived the Holocaust. It may help them to know that his plight is on your mind & you are doing what you can to address it.

            I am troubled by this new abortion law in TX. It seems crazy that someone can be sued for considering helping someone to have an abortion. Sounds like thought-police to me. No good will come of it. What do you think we can do?
