My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            I hope your meeting with the GOP Senators went well yesterday. Did you come up with a clear definition of “infrastructure?” Did it include child & elder care? I hope so.

            Speaking of the GOP, I was thrilled to see that a group of them have declared their “intent to catalyze an American renewal, and to either re-imagine a party dedicated to our founding ideals or else hasten the creation of such an alternative.” My father & his mom are cheering up in heaven. I’m sure they would jump right on board with the 13 principles delineated on the website, especially the one about open markets. I part company with the rhetoric about defense, otherwise it’s hard to argue with what they’ve laid out.

            Did you happen to see the moon last night? It was stunning. Our dog went crazy at 9 PM & now I wonder if it was the moon beckoning her to come outside. It was an orange crescent, just above the trees, beaming down on us. I can understand why it is so prominent in the Islamic faith.

I’m sure you are aware that it was Eid al-Fitr in most places yesterday celebrating the end of Ramadan with a feast. You should check out all of the beautiful pictures in the G from around the world showing the celebration. The colorful images stand in stark contrast to the photos of the Israeli military exerting its mighty power.

Please appoint an ambassador to Israel so we have a voice there to remind Bibi that WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER & killing 119 Palestinians including 31 children dead will not “restore calm.”

Please send a word of encouragement to the Burmese residents in HtayNyaingYar village, Kayah state, who staged an Anti-Coup Sunflower strike with the motto: "Sunflowers face the sun and the people face the Justice."

            I look forward to hearing about your meeting with the DACA kids today.
