My Friend & POTUS, JRB,

My condolences over the passing of Gov. Ruth Ann Miner who made DE a better state.

I just heard Giannis Antetokounmpo talking about believing in dreams, working hard & cherishing family. It’s fascinating that he can pour out his aggression on the court, stomping around with a scowl on his face, & then can be such a gentleman at the WH?

Isn’t it impressive that he walks the knife’s edge between anger & rage, staying charged up without losing it? According to neurobiologist Douglas Fields (DF), many people unleash the beast within & snap, when the hypothalamic attack region of our brain takes over & makes us violent. DF claims that 9 things, summarized in the mnemonic LIFEMORTS, can trigger the snap. Since recognizing these can prevent violence, let’s make it part of our curriculum in school.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I am trying to understand the seeds of violence that live within each of us. These seeds are sprouting all over the place & we need some weed control. As you know Rep Paul Gosar tweeted a violent meme showing an animated version of him attacking you & AOC. He thinks he’s being funny, but others worry he is normalizing violence so that people feel free to snap whenever. That’s what Kyle Rittenhouse & those 3 guys in GA did.

It’s also happening in KC where young men are killing each other over minor insults. Unfortunately, the weak gun laws in MO give them easy access to weapons & there’s no one around to prevent retaliation when they snap. They used to have a program called Aim4Peace, that put violence interrupters into the community, but funding for that was cut. I’m grateful that BBB has $$ for violence prevention programs & I hope Aim4Peace gets some funds.

I’m concerned that Danny Fenster has been charged with sedition & terrorism by the junta. Please continue to work on a way to get him out of Insein Prison & back home to his family.

            BYBS,
