DJT,

What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;

Do you know where that came from? The answer is at the end of the letter.

I bring this up because you, like the speaker of that verse, don’t seem to care about people’s names, but you, of all people, should know that name recognition makes a difference in this world. I found it striking that when you were at the Latino Roundtable yesterday, and singing the praises of “Jorge”, calling him a “superstar” & a “champion” for knocking Kamaru Usman out in short order, you never said, “Masvidal,” so I kept wondering who you were talking about. When you mentioned the owner of the Angels, you didn’t say his name at all. I encourage you to make more of an effort to say everyone’s full name when you talk about them. It’s a sign of respect.

            I was disappointed that I couldn’t find a picture of you wearing the sombrero vueltiao that Fabio Andrade gave you at the event yesterday. If you want to win over the 150,000 registered Colombian voters in to mark their FL ballots for you, then you might want to put together a campaign image like JRB is using where he sports a big smile & his sombrero.

            It was heart-warming to read about the tenacity of the small business owners who visited with you yesterday. I was impressed that Carolina Ferriero has started making her own gels & gummies so she doesn’t have to import stuff from China to make her Pharma Natural products. It sounds like Erika Benfield’s FLQ interiors company is getting back on its feet. It’s too bad that Claudia Ricco’s company name was “inaudible,” but it‘s great that she is making her T-shirts in America. I’m sure those ladies have their fingers crossed that you’ll appoint Barbara Lagoa to the Supreme Court today. As you know, her failure to recuse herself from a recent case would cause some ugliness in the nomination hearings, so I suspect you’ll go with someone else. We’ll see very soon.
