While you’re in Southhampton today, you might stop off at Estia’s, my brother’s restaurant. He’s out there at the end of Long Island, serving up fresh garden goodies prepared with a Mexican flair. He turned on a dime, setting things up for Covid. He’s got plenty of out-door seating & a great system to keep everyone safe. At least you could send some of your secret service guys over there while you hang out with John Paulson (JAP) & his pals.
I assume the event at JAP’s estate will be intimate in keeping with the NY law limiting events to less than 50 persons. Please chat with JAP about white privilege. He’s expressed some irritation that Spence, his daughter’s $50,000/year school, has been teaching them about white supremacy. Isn’t it odd that a guy whose billions come from predicting the 2008 mortgage debacle wouldn’t understand that whites accumulated wealth through real estate investments that have been denied to POCs for generations? Certainly, you understand that. Please help him get that straight.
Perhaps you could use the help of Marquita Bradhsaw, my new shero. Did you hear about her surprise victory in the TN Senate primary where she beat out several Democratic opponents with only a $8420 campaign fund? She’s my kind of candidate – a proud environmentalist, progressive person who speaks truth to power. She claims that there are more people who don’t vote in TN, than there are Reps & Dems. If she can get them to the polls, she just might beat your buddy, Bill Haggerty. Don’t you love an underdog?
Uplifting news of the day - some of us may have T cells pre-charged to fight CV. If we had the right common cold, our body may have “cross reactive T cells” that are ready to go after CV. UCD Prof, Dr. Smita Iyer, is testing out this idea with her troop of Rhesus Monkeys of all ages, including lots of geriatric monkeys making UCD the perfect place to study CV. It’s too bad we have to infect them, but that’s the price of progress.
