Friend, DJT,

The wind is disturbing my dog this morning. There’s so much turbulence in my life that I barely notice. Fortunately, I have the resources to weather the turbulence. So many folks don’t & I hope you will do everything in your power to support those who are suffering at this time.

What kind of support is included the PREVENTS road map you are presenting today? I’m glad that Barbara Van Dahleen and her task force finally got it together. As you are well aware, too many vets are committing suicide & we need to be doing more to uplift folks. It would help a lot if we could get guns out of their houses since 70% of vet suicides involve firearms. 36% of our vets have firearms in their houses putting them at great risk.

Let’s consider the trauma that  anyone in a violence-based organization experiences. Like the military, police departments also have a high rate of suicide. Humans are not meant to harm one another so imposing order through physical force eats away at the spirit. Perhaps you can acknowledge that in your remarks today & recommend changing the culture of those organizations.

I’m excited to see that CHAZ AKA CHOP, the autonomous zone in Seattle seems to be remaining peaceful without the police. They’ve got some “sentries” who intervene when people transgress social norms. They help calm people down. I think the art & music are also helping to soothe souls. That’s the kind of culture we can start to foster.

I’m worried about the clash in Ladakh. It’s too bad that what started as a de-escalation turned into a deadly skirmish. I am surprised that the fighting did not involve fire-arms. Apparently, there’s an understanding between China & India that they won’t fight with guns in that area. Just last year, the Chinese & Indian troops practiced yoga together in the freezing cold, high elevation “Line of Actual Control.” I hope that they can get back in harmony soon.

Maybe you should do some yoga today.

            HYITL,
