My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

It’s good to hear that the USA is replenishing our stockpile – filling up our gas tanks, stashing away ventilators, pumping out the N95 masks. I’m all stocked up, too. I’ve got 24 rolls of toilet paper and 20 pounds of flour. I wish that having stuff could make us rest easy, but, alas, CV doesn’t notice that the pantry is full.

I noticed that you didn’t wear a mask yesterday. Oh, Donald, what are we going to do with you? You could at least wear one while you were on your way up to the podium and as you walked around Owens & Minor. According to USA Today in a recent survey about 7 in 10 registered voters, including 58% of GOPers, said that you and MRP should cover your faces in public places. Following the CDC guidelines would set a good example and if people would start wearing masks, maybe governors would be more willing to open things up.

I was excited to see that PA has some new rules about absentee voting so folks can mail in their ballots on June 2. 67 people in WI got CV after voting in the April 7 election. Who knows where they caught the virus, but it’s possible they got it at their polling place. I think it’s wise to avoid that possibility, don’t you?

I’m sorry to hear that the trade deal with China is not working as you’d hoped. Buying and selling stuff is just not a priority right now, and it may not be in the near future. Perhaps it’s the dawn of a new day when commercialism no longer reigns. I would find that a refreshing change.

I hope you find some time to enjoy nature on your visit to Camp David,

            HYITL,
