My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

How is the toilet paper supply at the WH? Are you being mindful to conserve? Apparently, it is in short supply because people like to take action to protect themselves in a crisis, and so, they go out and stock up on the last thing they’d want to run out of. Somehow, it helps people feel in control when they have a closet full of tissue. The folks at Kimberely-Clark are making it as fast as they can, yet the grocery shelves remain bare. I was happy to get one roll at the hardware store yesterday. I went in to get potting soil for my tomato seedlings and was pleasantly surprised to find them selling Scott’s 1000 sheet rolls, 1 per customer.

We should be much more worried about the short supply of ventilators. Every newspaper this morning featured physicians talking about their dread at having to make decisions about who gets intubated when they don’t have enough breathing equipment to go around. The docs in NYC said this was much worse than 9/11. According to one statistic we might have 31 oxygen starved people per available machine. I know that you are working on this, and I encourage you to express your sympathies to health care providers about the tough situation that they will be facing. Please keep doing all you can to slow down the spread of CV so they can handle those who get critically ill from it, and get them some more ventilators, ASAP!

Hopefully, our situation will not get as bad as it is in Spain right now. My heart goes out to the people of Madrid. If PM Pedro Sanchez is on your call with the G20 leaders today, please express your sympathies.

HYITL,

RCA
