Dearest DJT,

Did you miss my letter yesterday? I had to get up at 4:30AM so I could attend a meeting with East Coasters at 8:30 EST. I was serving on a NSF panel putting in my 2 cents about which research grants should be funded. You will be happy to know that we were prudent about where the funds should go and what they should be used for. I can’t tell you about any of the proposals because we were sworn to secrecy. I’m not sure that I should even be telling you I was on the panel. I’m bad at secrets, especially now that my brain is losing its elasticity. I can’t keep track of what I’ve said, what I should say and what I’m supposed to hide. So best not to put me on your intelligence detail. I’m not sure if you’re good at keeping secrets, either. The only thing I know you’ve kept private is your tax returns.

I hope you enjoy your visit to S.C. today. I don’t have the energy to look into what you’ll be doing so I can’t comment on that. I just hope you will try to be kind.

            Best,

            RCA
