My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

How are you feeling today? Are you tired of hearing that question? Are the nurses asking you, “on a scale of 1 – 10, how is your pain?” Being in the hospital is no fun! I would be happy if I never had to step foot in a hospital again. My 1st overnight stay was in Merrit Hopsital in Madison when my baby was born. That was intense! I spent another night in the Dickinson County Hospital when I got a plate put into my broken arm. That wasn’t so bad because I was sedated most of the time. My husband has had 3 surgeries, each involving 3 nights, so I’ve spent 9 days hanging out with him. It’s amazing how bad the food is & being woken up every 4 hours for vital signs can’t be restorative. I hope you are resting in comfort & trying to take it easy. You’ve got a nice suite, so maybe it doesn’t feel like a hospital at all.

I’m afraid that your habit of “truthful hyperbole” is stressing everyone out & unfortunately, your people can’t get their stories straight. The WP editors want a full briefing on your health. I’m pretty sure we aren’t going to get that. First, there’s HIPAA. You have a right to privacy. Second, presidents have always hidden their health issues.

To be honest, I don’t need to know if you got oxygen on Friday or when your first positive test happened. I have learned that you are inclined toward painting a rosy picture, as you did in your video yesterday when you talked about the “therapeutics that are miracles.” I am just fastening my seatbelt as we ride through the “greatest moment of suspense” (David Smith in the Guardian) waiting to see how you fare in the next week. Please don’t give us any more October surprises.

It’s too bad that so many people who attended ACB’s nomination event have gotten CV. Senators Ben Sasse (NE), & Mike Crapo (ID) were smart to wear their masks. Now that 3 GOP Senators have CV, we may have to wait until 2021 to fill up the Supreme Court. I think taking our time would make sense, don’t you?

            HYITL,
