My dear Friend, DJT,

I look forward to having some peace of mind about this election, but I’m afraid it’s not happening anytime soon. I’m sure you do, too. Now that the Supreme Court has decided that voters in PA & NC can mail their ballots on Tuesday, it might be another week before we know the results.

After HRC’s loss to you, I no longer trust polls, so I am trying to keep an open mind about the results. I do know that JRB does not elicit the same kind of vitriol as HRC, so folks like my dad, who could never vote for her, might vote for JRB. We’ll see.

It was kind of Jack Nicklaus to tweet his endorsement of you. I’m sure you noticed his criticism of your words. Perhaps you will try to do something about that.

I’m more worried about your actions, especially your efforts to eliminate civil servants who do something you don’t like. The WP had a disturbing article about that. I must remind you that, no matter how hard you try, you will always have difficult employees. According to Business Guru, Kerry Patterson, “Crucial Conversations”, rather than reorgs, are the way to improve the culture of a workplace. He suggests that bosses who make it safe to speak the truth even when it’s critical of management, benefit from enhanced performance from their staff. I encourage you to give him a call if you happen to win this election. You’ve got 2.1 million employees, 1% more than when you were elected. The world would be a better place if they could make suggestions for improving the organization.

Let your better angels rule the day,

HYITL,
