My Dear Friend and President, DJT,

How was your visit with the LSU Tigers this morning? I’m sure you shook hands with Joe Burrow. I hope you shook hands with all of the other players, too. I suspect that some of them felt duplicitous being in your presence, because it’s likely that at least some of them distrust you. According to the WP 8 in 10 black Americans think you are a racist and since most of the Tigers have a lot of melanin, some in the room think that, too. In addition, 8 in 10 black Americans believe that whites do not understand the discrimination they face.

Running back, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, could help you understand what’s it like to disrespected. He’s the 5’8” running back who can leap over huge defenders in a single bound. He had to endure a microaggression from a white woman at the LSU – Clemson game who interrupted his emotional embrace with his dad. That did not go over well in the Black community who posted things like, “they should know to leave us alone when we’re celebrating the biggest moments of our lives” and “she thought she was in the white.”

You could help America by exposing this kind of thing. I hope you will.

Best,
