Thanks for sending your condolences to CA wildfire victims. Classes have been closed for a second day at UCD because the air is so bad. We're all suffering and I'm going to buy a N95 particulate respirator so I can ride my bike to work without worrying about destroying my lungs. Please acknowledge the role of climate change in these fires. It would make us feel a little better.
It looks like the Diwali ceremony was a success yesterday. It was nice of you to convene all of those in your administration who celebrate the day to join you. Why did you equate the holiday with India? That's like equating Easter with the USA. Plenty of people outside of the US celebrate the crucifixion of Jesus and not everybody in the US believes Christ rose from the dead. Remember, India is a secular country. Muslims and Christians live there, too. I think it's great that you took the time to acknowledge a Hindu religious holiday but next time, let's keep church and state separate.
Are the rumors true that Mira Ricardel dissed Melania? Being Croatian, Mira may have some different norms and may inadvertently offend folks. Perhaps she has apologized and so gets to stay in the WH even though Melania has publically stated that she doesn't think Mira deserves to be there. How about Kirstjen Nielsen? She's got her hands full with Homeland Security and it's not her fault that a bunch of families are on their way to the USA. She's put up with a lot and has powered through. Are you sure you want to fire such a tough nut?
Please don't hire Nick Ayers to replace John Kelly. I don't care how charming he is. He's just a kid and you don't need more kids running the show in the WH. Jared and Ivanka have not accomplished much and Steven Miller is a nightmare. Politico claims that Nick will only stir up more drama. I've had enough of that, haven't you?
