My dear Friend and president, DJT,

How did the Made in America Showcase go? I read your remarks. Thank goodness there were no surprises. I wish you had taken the opportunity to apologize for hurting so many people's feelings with your tweet about the "squad." Even if you did not intend harm, you caused it, and I hope, that when you cause harm, you feel remorse. Please reassure us all that you do not intend harm! We need to hear that.

David Brooks of the NYT and Robin Abcarian of the LAT opined today that our liberal democracy is in peril. They fear that you don't understand the difference between a liberal democracy and a liberal. I'm not sure that I do either, but their pieces made me think I'd better bone up. Shall we work on that together?

So back to the Made in America Showcase - I had to dig around to learn about that one. The only press coverage was from Fox Business and WAFB, the Baton Rouge news channel, which was publicizing how Tabasco was featured at the event. I had to dig deep to get info on Hostyle Racing, the tiny company from Fresno that represented CA. Their 6 employees sell a first aid kit holder and a few other things for race cars. I wonder if those 6 employees actually make the product, if so, they aren't making that many of them. I was more excited about Luke's Toy Factory that makes trucks out of recycled sawdust and plastic that kids can "stack". Wisco was represented by Carmex which employs 200 happy workers in Franklin, near Milwaukee. Now that I know that, Carmex will be my go-to lip balm.

I'm sure MAH appreciated all of your kind words about her and her THAD missiles. Those THAD missiles don't thrill me nearly as much as those Litespeed bikes made in Chatanooga, TN. Wouldn't it be great to employ a platoon of 18-year olds riding those Made in America titanium frames across the country doing good works for the elderly? See if you can make that happen!

            Best,

            RCA
