My dear Friend and president, DJT,

            Since it's Thursday and I have to go teach my class this will be a quickie.

            I understand that you made a speech yesterday at the Peace Officers' Memorial Service and vilified immigrants. I implore you to stop doing that. Those kinds of remarks breed hatred and we have more than enough of that, don't you think? We need all the helpers we can get out here in CA, especially folks to take care of our elderly. That job does not require "high skills" just a big heart. Most of the folks waiting to enter the country have one of those, so please let them join us and stop talking like all immigrants are out to kill us.

            I understand you'll be meeting with Swiss President, Ueli Maurer, today. I love the fact that like all Swiss Presidents, he only has the job for a year. He's got 6 other folks who also lead the country. I think we should start moving in that direction. Distribution of power is a good thing! Ueli is my kind of guy. He likes numbers and rides his bike whenever he can. I hope he can help you stave off a conflict in Iran.

            Speaking of Iran, I know that you don't need me to remind you that WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER. According to today's WP, you "prefer a diplomatic approach to resolving tensions and want to speak directly with Iran’s leaders." I am so glad to hear that. Please call Maj. Gen. Chris Ghika, the British officer. He can tell you why he thinks the intelligence that you have been receiving is exaggerated. Just remember that John Bolton has done this before and got us into a fine mess in Iraq. None of our European allies think there is an immanent threat. You don't want another Vietnam on your hands do you? 

            Have fun in NYC today. I'm sure you'll enjoy being back in your Tower this evening. Maybe you can convince some of your tenants to stay in the building.
