My Dear Friend and President, DJT,

I hope you are ok. I see that you had an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed yesterday. I'm afraid that you might be "worried sick." I know all about that. We think we're immune to it, until our world gets rocked and then our nerves go haywire. It happened to me last winter. I have found deep breathing, yoga and Quaker Meeting have helped me to calm down. I encourage you to give one of those a try.

Speaking of anxiety provoking, I am technologically impaired. My laptop can't access the internet because it doesn't know what day it is. The "administrator" at the university is the only one who can fix that, so I spent my days in STL off-line.  My phone will be extinct at the end of the year and I have an i-Pad that won't run most websites because it's operating system can't handle it. So, I have to adjust, which for someone my age is a life-enhancing challenge. I have recently adopted the mindset to embrace problems and see them as a gift from the higher power. I encourage you to do the same.

The LA governor election yesterday sure was exciting! Thanks to your rallies, folks got out to the polls. Don't you love it when people exercise their franchise?  According to the Advocate, urban churches used a new microtargeting technique to get out the Black vote and increased participation from 25% in the first round of voting to 31%. I wonder what the voting rate will be in 2020.

I'm sure you're delighted with Rep Elise Stefanik, NY21. NPR had 3 minutes about her on Weekend Edition this morning. It's fascinating to see someone who has broken with you on several issues coming to your defense in the hearings. I'm afraid her bit of "political theater" talking back to ABS on Friday might not work out too well for her. According to the Daily Gazette, her opponent for the 2020 election, Tedra Cobb, just raised $650,000.

            Take it easy!
