My dear Friend and President, DJT,

You're approaching 1000 days of your presidency which means I am approaching 1000 letters, which means that I have spent more than 1000 hours reading the news and trying to find something nice to say to you. Most days I come up with something to write about, but I'm not feeling it today.

I read about that gross video shown at the American Priority Festival held at your hotel in Miami. That news did not inspire me. I hope you'll make it clear that you do not endorse that kind of thing.

The WP and NYT have plenty of Op Ed pieces that could fuel my anger but I don't need that today.

I could write something about how we need to change the name of today's national holiday from Columbus Day to Indigenous People's Day but since you continue to call EAW, Pocahontas, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t understand.

I wish you were doing something diverting today like hosting Simone Biles at the WH and giving her a Presidential Medal of Honor for being the best gymnast the world has ever seen. She could do a triple-twisting double somersault in the East Room, flash her smile and amaze everyone at what the human body can do.

Speaking of which, did you hear about how Eliud Kipchoge ran 26.2 miles in less than 2 hours. If you do the math, you'll see he was running miles in 4.58 minutes! I don't think I could run for 4.58 straight minutes and I'd be happy if I ran a quarter mile in that time.

When was the last time that you tried to run anywhere? The only place that I ever run is in the airport and then I get reminded that it's not a good idea to sprint while dragging a wheelie. I had to do it in June and missed my flight by just 2 minutes. Of course, you never have to sprint to make a flight. That must be nice.

Since your calendar is free today, I hope you will call some of those GM strikers and find out how they're doing. They could use some encouragement.

            Best,
