My dear Friend and President, DJT,

Yeah, it's Saturday. I decided not to listen to the news on NPR as I snoozed in bed and I did not look at the NYT, WP or Guardian. I do not need to be agitated today. The wind has stopped. The sun is bright. I plan to enjoy my day unencumbered by worries about our nation, the climate and your tweets. I'll get back to that on Monday.

It was kind of you to provide the Eastbank All Stars a ride in Air Force One back home to LA. I imagine that they were tickled pink. Well, they were already pink. I was surprised to see that almost all of the kids on the team were Caucasian given that they are representing a state that is about 1/3 African American. Please encourage the coaches to do a better job integrating their team. Anyway, those boys, with their orange and yellow baseball caps, all looked thrilled to be riding on that special plane! It's too bad that you couldn't take the Rowan County All Stars back to NC. I hope the girls don't feel short changed. Are you wearing the friendship bracelet that Lexi Ritchie gave to you in the Oval Office? She'd really love the free advertising for her Lex & Dex company.

I'm sure you will be your best self when you visit with the pious folks at the Values Voters Summit. I'm sure you will have kind words for Pastor Andrew Brunson. He'll probably give you a copy of his new book, God's Hostage, where he writes about a prophetic dream he had about Turkey teaming up with Iran and Russia. I certainly hope that doesn't happen. As you well know, RTE took delivery of a Russian S-400 this summer, so VVP may be his new BFF. Is that why you gave RTE the gift of pulling our troops out of Syria? Were you trying to get back into his good graces? I'm not convinced he has much grace so you'd better beware.

            Have a great day,
