My dear Friend and President, DJT,

You have another quiet schedule today. Are you feeling ok? It's not like you to have such a vacant agenda. I assume you are having lots of private meetings and hope that you find a way to keep the government open.

I was thrilled to learn about the peace talks with Afghanistan this morning. It would be so great to see that part of the world begin to prosper again. While the details of the deal need to be ironed out, hearing positive news from that quadrant of the world lifts my spirits. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, (D. HI) and 2020 Pres. Candidate, must be thrilled. She's been talking about getting out of Afghanistan for years.

Have you met Tulsi? I encourage you to invite her to the WH. As the first Hindu-American elected to Congress I am sure she understands Afghanistan, India and Pakistan better than any other elected official. She's served her time in the military so she understands what it means to be deployed. She can give you some pointers as you try to iron out the details of the peace agreement.

When she visits you can give her one of your WH tours. Today's WP reports that you love to give tours including stops at some of the more notorious spots in the West Wing. They suggest that you love your new chandeliers and TVs. I'm not a big fan of chandeliers, but I do admit to enjoying TV. I've been avoiding it lately. Maybe you should, too. Then you won't have to be subject to the conservative pundits who, according to today's WP, have turned on you in the past couple of days.

I'd love one of your tours of the WH. Perhaps I'll get to visit you someday.

Best,
