My dear Friend and President, DJT,

January is almost over and I have not accomplished as much as I had hoped. Have you? Complications always seem to get in the way that slow progress. It's a miracle that we make any progress at all. And yet, we do. We just have to hang in there.

I tried to find out which mayors were coming to the White House to speak with you about economic growth today and I only found one: Rey Martinez of Loganville, GA, the first Hispanic mayor in the state. He's your kind of guy, a charismatic restaurant owner, who knows everyone and thinks he knows everything. Kind of like your buddy and self-appointed, "agent provocateur," Roger Stone. I look forward to seeing who else shows up at the mayor's event and what you talk about.

I understand that most mayors are quite unhappy about the citizenship question Wilbur Ross wants to put on the census. They don't want an undercount of their populations. Mayor Rey's population is so small that he may not care, but folks in cities like Houston and Dallas have a big stake in this. Be sure to listen to what they have to say.

Did you see the story in the WSJ today about how school districts might run out of $ for free and reduced price meals in March? What a mess! Now that families aren't getting paychecks, more kids are eligible for free food, which is making the remaining funds run out faster. Just under half of the kids in the nation receive that subsidy and for many, school meals are the only food they can depend on, especially at the end of the month. Do you know how many of your fans have kids in the program? It might be more than you think.

I encourage you to reconsider your choice of friends. Roger Stone says he's a master of "posture and bluff." That kind of insincerity is creepy!

            Hang in there!
