You will recall that my great grandpa, Harry M. Trippe, was the Huntington District Commander in the Army Corps of Engineers, responsible for the locks and dams on the Ohio River. You should go take a look at the great work they're doing keeping the Ohio River navigable. Some of the dams need attention. Please make sure they get the $$ they need to fix them.

When you were in Mosinee, did you hear about the upcoming Diwali celebration they will be having on Nov. 4 in Wausau? The local Hindu group is putting it on for the community and they'll be having Bollywood style dancing among other things. John C. is going to need all the help he can get to beat Lizzie. His district has gone from being mostly Caucasian to being 62% non-White. Her campaign focuses on controlling flooding which is a big deal to the folks who were devastated by Harvey last year. She's got her work cut out for her but that race is an exciting one, don't you think.
